Do You Like The Cure? is our first zine project together: a mix of illustration, essays, photography, and cultural non sequiturs inspired by our mutual obsession of contemporary art, film, music and pop culture.

Both of us are interested in the ways culture shapes identity, memory, taste, and conversation. Our zine moves through the strange emotional weight people give to art and media, while balancing sincerity with (we hope) humour and self-awareness.

Our unofficial tagline "Random things that make us better people” is partly genuine and partly a joke, about how we assign our own heavy lifting to such things, (though we suspect the joke only works because we mean it.)

Some pieces are reflective, others are sarcastic, and some exist purely because of the strange little ideas that attach themselves to everyday life.

At its core, “Do You Like The Cure?” is about cultural obsession, conversation, and the small ways art quietly shapes who we are.
